the greek tragedy play project: step one
In the beginning of this project we studied the play, Antigone, and learned more about the outline of a Greek Tragedy. which would help us to create our own plays. We started by getting into partners to come up with an idea and outline that we would later propose to the class as an idea for the final play. this was my partner and I's outline:
After we finished the outline, we proposed the idea to our class. The class was to decide which 6 plays we wanted to move forward for the possibility of it being our final play we created. Casey, my partner, and I's idea was not chosen, so we were put into one of the 6 different groups.

I was put into a group with three other partners, Miguel, Mark, and Diego. As the next step, we had to continue on with the group's idea and create a script using their outline. My job was scriptwriter, Miguel was a story-boarder, Mark was chorus, and Diego was scriptwriter as well. I was in charge of the Prologue, Scene 2 and Scene 4. This is the final script we created: ,
We then presented our scripts in front of the class. My groups play was not chosen.
the greek tragedy play project: step three
The final play was chosen. Our play was about a boy falling in love with a Muslim girl and the stereotypes that were thrown at her. My role played in the final production of the play was an actress. I played the role of Amira, the Muslim girl. My responsibilities were to memorize lines and practice them before we performed them in front of the school, our parents, and the judges. On the final night, the winners were announced. My play won "Best Backdrop", "Best Playwright", and "Overall Best Play."
